Kinkoji
Above 164 altitudes, Kinkoji is considered as the sacred mountain by the villagers. According to the legends, it is said that, Ono Takamura once assistant envoy to the china, was the founder of the place. He fought with chief envoy Fujiwara about a ship. This quarrel provoked the imperial wrath of the ex emperor Saga and Ono Takamura was exiled to Oki.

It is said that he sculpted statue of Buddha in Kinkoji and prayed everyday for his relief. His wish came true in 2 months and appointed as a councilor of government. So local people believe that there wishes come true by praying at Kinkoji.
Akiya Beach
Oki Shrine
Oki shrine was built in 1939 to commemorate the Ex emperor Gotobajokofs 700th death anniversary. Two sides of the road to Oki shrine are full of cherry trees, in the season of spring the Oki shrine is full of cherry blossom and itfs an unexplainable beauty. The grand festival held on April 14th in Oki shrine.
Tengawa no misu
Tengawa no misu has recommended as one of the best 100 of crystal clear water springs by the ministry of environment. The place was found by the virtuous priest Gyoki in Nara era that made a pilgrimage to Ama. He found a cave which shade with tress and heard a noise of water flowing inside the cave. He found holy aura here and named the place as Tengawa no Mizu which means the heavenfs blessing water. Even the local people say that itfs mysterious, island without high mountains, having such a rich water spring.
