先日はもえる会の人と交流会が行いました。もえる会とは、日本の離島の活動を紹介するために小泉政権が始まったプログラムです。今回はもえる会のシンポーシアムを海士で始めて開きました。全国からの 50 名の方々が海士に集まりました。その中で、政府の方々や一橋大学、名古屋大学の先生などの町づくりにかかわっている学者がたくさんいました。

　今回のもえる会の主な目的は、海士の活動を全国にアピールすることでした。ますは地産地商課の大江課長が海士について簡単に説明しました。それから、それぞれのグループに分けて、話し合いすることになりました。

　もえる会の人たちは今海士でどういう動きをしているか、研修生やＩターン者が何をしているかということに大変興味を持っていました。そこで一人ひとりの研修生がなぜ海士にきて、今何をしているかとか、今からの海士でどういう活動をしていきたいということを説明しました。そこでもえる会の方々も夢を持って海士に来ている人々に、自分の経験からアドバイスをしました。

　Yesterday we had a opinion exchange meeting with the people from outside the island。The main intention of the symposium was to introduce Ama to the people from outside. The professor from Hitotsubashi University was the chief guest and he is the government representative for moeru kai, will explain what is moeru kai later. There are many intellectuals from different fields. After the lunch we had a discussion with the guests.

　They were very keen to know about the new things which have started in the island. specially　they want to know what I’m doing here . So Mr. aoyama gave a brief introduction about what we are doing and new things which have started in this island. Then each “I turn “　people express about what they are doing in ama and why they choose ama to do their activities.　There are I turn and U turn people from all over the Japan. So guests gave their ideas about our activities and their perspective about Ama. I felt that it is very hard to do PR when it comes to a place like AMA, because it is not a product and there are various activities that to be introduced.

　Any way I forgot to explain what is moeru kai, it is a program which was introduced by the prime minister　koizumi to develop the islands in Japan.
